Syllables.

1.0 Ambition.
Clarifying your ambition in your career and life is a profound step to greatness. We'll discuss the difference between ambition, goals, boundaries and routines when it comes to building balanced personal and professional life.
2.0 Vision and Believes.
Vision without belief takes you nowhere. In order to progress we'll help you carve out your Vision based on your own belief system which inevitably leads to greater motivation and resistance.
3.0 Philosophy.
One of the missing parts of the current design industry is the absence of a theoretical approach to behavioural change. To distinguish yourself and the proposition have your own philosophy.
4.0 Communication.
Once we carve out the core of the offering and understand what your company offer, we'll look at how to communicate that message with precision to your peers, colleagues or potential prospects.
5.0 Technology.
As a company of one, you'll soon become the master of automation. And it's not only automation of your message across social media (that's secondary). We'll focus on how to create, maintain and broadcast all your work without sending an extra email or slack message.
6.0 Operation.
The company of one has to create, maintain and scale its operation across several pillars, like finance, legal, savings, delivery, data storage, hardware and software subscription, with links to partnering companies to make it work in no time.
7.0 Network
How to maintain the network of professionals that can bring the business and help you to achieve greater exposure.
8.0 Sales
Sailing design vs selling your skills? What do you really offer as a business or as a team? Let's break down the design sales funnel and see where you fit so you do not malinvest energy and resources.
9.0 Management
All the above will mean nothing without great time management. How to manage up and down. Most importantly how to manage your time and focus to reach your potential.

Team

of Ten.

Sessions

10

Ten sessions tailored for designers joining product or service design teams in small and medium organisations.

Background

Many designers struggle to face their main challenges after arriving at a product team.
First, what are we doing, and do we know enough about the user? Second, what is my role? How can I contribute to my team?
And third, how can I grow with the proposition to gain the trust and respect of my colleagues?

Expectation

Ten (3x3+1) sessions designed to understand and address the aspects of a dynamic team structure.
Business lens – help you to understand what is the overall goal and ambition of any product team. Design lens – allows you to take a driver's seat and define the experience for your team. Development lens – creates the bridge and alliances with the development team to build a quality product.

What is my role in the product or service team?
Most common question out of +2k interviews in /Y20-22. Let’s find out how to become your team's best product designer.

Syllables.

1.0 Landscape Analysis
In order to have an impact on any organisation or team we need to understand the landscape.  We'll help you to analyse the environment under very specific criteria in which you deliver your work.
2.0 Roles and Responsibilities
This will help you to see the role and responsibilities through a slightly different lens. Helping you to choose the right approach to address the specific challenges in a way the hasn't been handled before.
3.0 Network
To have an impact and make the changes, it takes time to deliver value and establish the network. We'll show you how and when to act on very specific tasks to gain the trust of people for are doers, influences and decision-makers.
4.0 Thought Leader
In order to make an impact, you need to show your value, and that can be leveraged by several actions that prove you are a thought leader in your field.
5.0 Daily Routine
Routines are the backbone of the entire design team. That is where things start and fall. A great routine can make the team indestructible and capable of facing multiple challenges. On the other hand, no routine can drain the energy of any team member to the point they leave the company.
6.0 Project Management
You are a designer, and therefore you produce. It's your sole responsibility to map and understand how things are delivered in your business or team. You do not need an MBA, but you need a good sense of Stage and Gate product development and, eventually, Dual-Track Agile.
7.0 Eye on Release
To many designers (perfectionists) is about the best design possible – I get it. If you are in the R&D team, knock yourself out and forever explore. However, if you are in any line of production, your very first question is, when do we deliver it?
8.0 Sense and Response
Jeff Gothelf and Josh Seiden's fantastic book explore the topic in detail. What we'll look at is the application in your particular environment.
9.0 The Power of One
That all leads to – The Power of one. A final puzzle of the well-functioned design team. The presentation that you can take back to your team and articulate the ambition, improvements and impact of your learning in this course.

Team of One Hundred.

History

10

Ten sessions tailored for the head of departments and those who are building the design function in their organisation.

Background

Departments were historically created the protect knowledge. This norm is now challenged by design commoditization through MIRO and MURAL bords, where everyone is a designer.
How to retain quality and protect the basic principles of branding and customer-defined behaviour? How to create and run a successful design department that constantly adapts to the changing environment of modern exponential organisations?

Expectation

Ten (3x3+1) sessions represent the core of the Exponential Organisation Model in combination with the Agile organisation and S@S model for integrated design function and its essential role in the businesses of the 21st century.
Customised model for each business with specific needs, industry or operational model that need to remain unchanged – our expertise lies in fintech, mobility, telco, education, entertainment, fitness, and retail.

Departments changed, and your ultimate function is not to protect your knowledge but to broadcast it out loud – how to create and maintain Tribal Leadership 2.0 for Design Department.

Syllables.

1.0 Business Structure
John C. Maxwell, in his book 360-degree leader, emphasizes how important it is to understand the context and structures. Design function I n many organisations is new or seen as – nice to have. In order to change that and have an impact, we need to understand the structure. We'll help you to facilitate the correct question to map out the environment and articulate the value of design.
2.0 Evaluation Matrix
We do not wish to put the lives of others in a spreadsheet, yet the tracking and evaluating the success means understanding the pitfalls that can be simply removed by learning and contributing back to the team.
3.0 Department Fucntion (Mission)
Seven out of ten designers miss the function of their team and department. Articulated Mission and Department Functions will help all employees and contractors distinguish their roles in a specific delivery. Resulting in the time invested correctly in something that is delivery and not concept driven.
4.0 Agile Organisation (Flexibility)
When McKinsey published "The Five Trademarks of Agile Organizations", many organisational designers praised the brilliant articulation of the daily challenges they faced while adopting the mindset change within their organisation. We'll look at how we can integrate these five principles into your scenario.
5.0 Reactive vs Proactive
The silos make your organisation reactive – transparency makes your organisation proactive. The more soiled business you are dealing with, the less impact you can have on the overall business. Conversely, more department transparency leads to greater maturity and responsibility among teammates to act proactively and consider the impact.
6.0 Broadcasting or Protecting
This reflects the business structure broadcasting the success and failure of the team and structures that keep their victories and failures for themselves. We'll discuss how sensible broadcasting makes the team more cohesive and responsible over protecting knowledge and burning the company resources on inefficient design delivery.
7.0 Transparency
How do you broadcast the mindset change, and how do you deal with none believers? Acting from the scarcity and dependency of the job can be exhausting. We'll show you how to approach a team-by-team mentality and how to grow early advocates throughout your workforce.
8.0 Everybody is a Designer
With the arrival of the Miro Board and similar infinite board tools, the design world exploded in the same respect sharing to those who master the craft of design. Not necessarily everyone with an opinion on colour is a designer – in other words, how to create consistency between practitioners (doers), management (influencers), and leadership (decision makers)  to keep the quality untouched.
9.0 Make it Scale.
One of Bata's moto – "the system of management is a testimony to the understanding that capital is knowledge and not money", shows that empowering people with knowledge is the only way to succeed. Scale your organisational awareness of design values, and you will achieve more than ten design systems that can do for you and your business.
