One of the things that stands out to me the most about Jiri is his appreciation for a feedback loop with open arms. In our fast-moving streaming industry, reacting quickly to feedback is crucial and hugely valuable, and it's expected. The part where Jiri stands out is that not only does he actively ask for feedback, but he also goes out of his way to make someone feel that the feedback is useful, constructive, and that he is grateful for it. What that does is spiral a hunger for more feedback to be generated, knowing that it is valued. This might sound very simple and basic, but in my decade-plus in the industry, I can honestly say it's not the case that feedback is always held in such high regard. Focusing on what the customer wants and needs as opposed to what the tech can do and then trying to push that onto the customer is where Jiri really has his ear to the ground, and I can only praise him for having such an approach.
Jiri is also incredibly energetic, and that vibe resonates with the teams at all levels, and incredibly warm as a team member. He always has a smile on his face that you can tell is genuine, and he loves a great challenge. We worked together at Sky, and that always provided us with challenges at the highest levels in broadcast, so hats off to you, Jiri, keep up the great work and keep on being yourself. You're a star, and any team would be so lucky to be able to work with you and have you on their team!
