Show and Tell is an optional but highly recommended step. It creates organisational visibility and helps teams share progress without formal presentations or lengthy documentation. It is particularly useful in large or distributed organisations.
In Show and Tell sessions:
— Designers share prototypes, scenarios, and system updates
—Engineers demonstrate working increments
— Product leads share upcoming priorities and roadmap adjustments
— Cross-functional partners contribute insights or raise risks early
This ceremony reduces miscommunication and “surprise moments” at the end of delivery. It also helps senior leaders stay aligned without needing to follow every sprint in detail. A 15-minute global update often offers more clarity than dozens of fragmented meetings.
Show and Tell also acts as a cultural tool. It socialises design, normalises collaboration, and reinforces transparency as standard behaviour.
