You Say Hello!

Featured Image

This first section provides the essential operational information for anyone interacting with your team. Every product team, regardless of size, sits within a broader organisational structure; therefore, clarity and accessibility become strategic assets.

This section typically answers questions such as:

“Where is the latest org chart?”

“Who is responsible for X?”

“Where is the Zoom dial-in?”

It also includes onboarding essentials for new team members:
— email setup
— signatures
— required software and hardware
— access to internal systems
— team-specific tools and processes

An interactive org chart helps the wider organisation understand accountability. When this information is buried in outdated PPTX files, new joiners often spend 28% of their onboarding time simply trying to find accurate information.

This is not a maturity issue - it’s a structural and operational one.

BOK — Hello!

Your team’s Ways of Working (WoW) may be influenced by central operations, but creating your own version is critical. Why?

Because central operations cannot know the specifics of your delivery challenges — or the workflow your team must move through to produce quality design.

A clear WoW provides three advantages:
— New designers immediately understand how work gets delivered.
— You gain clarity by visualising your own process.
— Your CPO® will reuse it at the next stakeholder presentation.

Over time, APP Hello*, becomes a library of your product engagement strategy — a foundational reference that signals you understand the broader ecosystem beyond daily design tasks. It marks the beginning of moving from execution to ownership.

Design at Scale™ is defined by three models, which form the Method. Each model operates in a different part of the business and collects and informs parties on design and engineering decisions that have a direct impact on the delivery.

All brands and trademarks presented on the Design at Scale™ website are owned by their relevant companies or agencies. The projects represent collaborations between designers, developers and product owners. Do not copy or publish any of the projects shown here without written approval from Design at Scale™ (alternatively GIVE™, 9V™) and/or relevant companies and agencies.
